The term Godhead is found three times in the King James Version: Acts 17:29, Romans 1:20; and Colossians 2:9. In each of the three verses, a slightly different Greek word is used, but the definition of each is the same: “deity” or “divine nature.” The word Godhead is used to refer to God’s essential nature. We’ll take a look at each of these passages and what they mean.
In Acts 17, Paul is speaking on Mars Hill to the philosophers of Athens. As he argues against idolatry, Paul says, “Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device” (Acts 17:29, KJV). Here, the word Godhead is the translation of the Greek then, a word used by the Greeks to denote “God” in general, with no reference to a particular deity. Paul, speaking to the Greeks, used the term in reference to the only true God.
In Romans 1, Paul begins to make the case that all humanity stands guilty before God. In verse 20 he says, “The invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” (KJV). Here, Godhead is theiotés. Paul’s argument is that all of the creation virtually shouts the existence of God; we can “clearly” see God’s eternal power, as well as His “Godhead” in what He has made. “The heavens declare the glory of God; / the skies proclaim the work of his hands” (Psalm 19:1). The natural world makes manifest the divine nature of God.
Colossians 2:9 is one of the clearest statements of the deity of Christ anywhere in the Bible: “In him [Christ] dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” The word for “Godhead” here is theiotés. According to this verse, Jesus Christ is God .
Because the Godhead dwells bodily in Christ, Jesus could rightly claim that He and the Father are “one” (John 10:30). Because the fullness of God’s divine essence is present in the Son of God, Jesus could say to Philip, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:9).
In summary, the Godhead is the essence of the Divine Being; the Godhead is the one and only Deity. Jesus, the incarnate Godhead, entered our world and showed us exactly who God is: “No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known” (John 1:18; cf. Hebrews 1:3).
Essence – the most significant element, quality, or aspect of a thing or person
The essence of something is the basic and most important characteristic that gives it its individual identity.
Essence is eternally itself; it does not grow, and growth makes no sense to it. This is a very important distinction between soul and essence, regardless of the fact that both are consciousness. Essence is pure consciousness, but the soul is an organism of pure consciousness.
What does God’s essence mean?
The metaphysical essence of God, therefore, must be that perfection in God which is conceived by our finite intellect as, (a) so peculiar to God that it distinguishes Him from all other beings, and (b) so primary or principal that all His other perfections flow from it.
What is spiritual essence?
The true essence of spirituality in social work practice is the recognition and development of the energy that flows between the soul of the practitioner and that of the client in the therapeutic relationship. This dynamic is expressed symbolically as the process of rebirth, which is encircled by a halo of gratitude.
Godhead (or godhood) refers to the essence or substance (ousia) of God in Christianity — God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
What is the purpose of the Godhead?
In order to learn and teach about the Godhead, we must gain a testimony that They have one single purpose: together. They work “to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man” (Moses 1:39).
Defining God is not easy to do. We can offer definitions, but these definitions usually describe attributes. We can say that God is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, holy, perfect, pure, wise, etc. We understand these concepts, but that does not mean we are accurately describing the essence of what God is. But this is to be expected because God is completely different from what we are. He is “wholly other.” This means he is not physically like we are. He is not limited to space and time as we are. He’s different–not the same as us. So, when we describe him, we can only describe him in ways with which we are familiar even if these descriptions can never be totally sufficient.
Take, for example, humanity. How would we properly define the essence of humanness? We recognize what it is, but we can’t define it perfectly without citing attributes. For example, to be human means to be able to reason, to know, to love, to hate, and to interact with others in sophisticated conceptual constructs dealing with morality, justice, and love. But those are attributes. How do we describe the very essence of what it is we are? We can’t. Does this mean humanness doesn’t exist? Of course not.
Atheists and God
Atheists often ask Christians to define what God is and not by attributes but by describing his essence. When the Christian fails, the atheist complains that even the Christian can’t define who God is. Therefore, they often say that talking about God is more or less meaningless. However, I believe this is nothing more than an attempt to continue to deny God and his existence.
When I ask atheists to define what humanity is without using attributes, they sidestep the question either by ignoring it or changing the topic. But if it is okay for atheists to ask Christians to define God without using attributive qualities, then why isn’t it all right to ask the atheist to define humanity with the same criteria? And if they cannot, does it mean humanity does not exist, or that discussion about humanity is meaningless? Of course not. The same would go for discussions about God. Not being able to describe the essence of what God is without citing his attributes does not mean a discussion about God and what God is would be meaningless.
Examples of Tripartite
(Tri par tite) It means that it takes three parts to something that makes it a whole. Without one part it will fall apart such as an eggshell, white and yellow. That is a good examination of the Godhead. They depend on each other for one whole thing to be produced.
Freud’s personality theory (1923) saw the psyche structured into three parts (i.e., tripartite), the id, ego, and superego, all developing at different stages in our lives and it deals with one person but with 3 parts to make a whole.
Let’s look at a Man needs as Spirit, soul, and body to make a whole person without on
A tri-partite or tripartite agreement often takes place during the construction phase of a new home or condominium complex. Three part to one contracts.,
What is the purpose of tripartite?
A tripartite agreement, or a tri-party agreement, is a contract that legally binds three separate parties. These agreements can be particularly useful when an organization expands its workforce on a global level.
What is the difference between God and the Godhead?
Eckhart calls “Godhead” the origin of all things that is beyond God (God conceived as Creator). “God and the Godhead are as distinct as heaven and earth.” The soul is no longer the Son. The soul is now the Father: it engenders God as a divine person.…

What is the Godhead called in Christianity?
Trinity
Trinity, in Christian doctrine, is the unity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as three persons in one Godhead. The doctrine of the Trinity is considered to be one of the central Christian affirmations about God.
What does It Mean that the Trinity is god in Three Person?
When we talk about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as being “Persons,” we do not mean they are human beings or that they are like mankind in any way. In our everyday language, though, that is how the word person is often used, so it is understandable that some confusion surrounds references to the three “Persons” of the Trinity.
When we talk about God, we are using the word Person to show that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit each have personhood or personality. That is, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit each have intellect, emotion, and volition. Any being with rationality, emotion, and a will can be considered a person; thus, human beings are persons, but so are angelic beings and the Divine Being. The definition of person cannot include physicality for the simple reason that human beings do not cease to be persons after death. A dead person’s body is left behind to decay, but his true self—his personhood—lives on in either heaven or hell.
When we speak of God existing in three Persons, we mean that God’s existence is comprised of three distinct centers of intellect, emotion, and will. Each Person of the Trinity had a unique role in creation and in the salvation of mankind. The Holy Spirit is unique and is not the Father or the Son (He proceeds from the Father and the Son, John 15:26). The Father and the Son are also unique (when Jesus prayed to the Father, He was not praying to Himself, Luke 23:34). Each is God, but each is a separate “Person.” Using the word person is one of the only ways our language has to describe this concept.
All three Persons of the Trinity comprise one, perfectly unified God. They share the same nature and essence, and they are all the same God, but each individual Person of the Trinity is distinct and unique. The fact that God exists in three Persons is important for several reasons. For instance, God is love (1 John 4:8). But, in eternity past, before God created any other being, could He have truly been love? That is, can love exist where there is no one to be loved? Because God exists in three co-equal, co-eternal Persons, love exists, too. Eternal love has been expressed eternally among the Persons of the Godhead. The Father, Son, and Spirit have always loved each other, and so love is eternal.
Once we lay aside the notion that a “person” can only be a “human person,” we can more readily understand how God can correctly be said to exist in three “Persons.”

Is Jesus or God the creator of all things?
by Matt Slick | Dec 1, 2008, | Bible Difficulties, Romans – Philemon, The Bible
Is Jesus or God the creator of all things? Since Jesus is God in the flesh and God created all things, then the answer is easy.
Isaiah 44:24 and Colossians 1:16-17
There is no difficulty here at all when we realize that the Trinity is involved. The Trinity is the doctrine that God is three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Son is the Word, which was God and with God (John 1:1), that became flesh in Jesus (John 1:14). Since Jesus is the second person of the Trinity, and He has two natures, divine and human (Col. 2:9), we can then have Jesus being the creator and God being the creator alone. In other words, Jesus is God and God created all things alone.
Satan is the spiritual father and god of all humans born in the natural world, earth, by default, II Cor. 4: 3-4.
The life of human beings started on earth when God created man, Adam, and placed them in the Garden of Eden, and God took Adam’s ribs Gen. 2:21-22, and made woman to be a help mate for Adam. This was the beginning of the institution of marriage for the purpose of a man and a woman to multiply the human race on earth with godly seeds.
The default occurred in the Garden of Eden when Eve was tempted by the devil Gen 2:15-17 when man disobeyed God and agreed with Satan and ate off the tree of good and evil, which opened the door of sin in people’s life.
This instantaneous betrayal also separated men from God in heaven because God, a Holy God, cannot look upon sin. Therefore, due to men’s sinful rebellion against God, Adam and Eve were immediately sent out of the Garden Eden to the east part of the Garden of Eden (Gen 3:23-24), where Satan became the spiritual stepfather, counterfeit, or default father to the human race through natural birth, and Eve became the mother of all living (Gen 3:20). From that point, every natural birth in life on earth came into the world through the sin of a man and woman. This is when marriage was instituted, known as hell. This made Satan the father of the human race. Remember that God is the Creator of humanity, but by a sin against God, a man came into the world through a sinful plan of evil.
Now the only way that God enters the Earth, is through the legal rights of his people who accept His Salvation. God knew that man needed a way to be redeemed from hell so God’s plan was through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God in
the flesh, who walked among men and came to earth through the family of
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He came to reality through the womb of a woman, Mary, who is an Israel-descended people chosen by God. God has always worked through Holy men on earth to establish His kingdom on earth to give a man
the choice to enter into heaven with Him after physical death. First, God chose Moses to lead His people out of bondage in Egypt under the King of Pharaoh. The man was so confused with his sinful nature. Therefore, God established the Law, and the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20: 1-26, since the spirit was given to all people in the Old Testament. Therefore, God came into the world under a New Covenant, the New Testament of Grace, to deal with sin through the death and burial of Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross to destroy sin by releasing His Spirit upon all human beings. This also was a way to establish the moral stability of man because, without God, the nature of man was as wild and untamed as their father Satan, John 8:44.
God said to choose this day whom you will serve in Deuteronomy 30:19. Man makes a choice before they die to serve either God or Satan because this is a very important step to ensure eternal life with God upon physical death. This is why it is important to know that there are two worlds to live in on earth (physical and natural). God has blessed those who have accepted God at a younger age, and it is wise for your children to grow up in the Lord as they live rather than wait until they are much older to live a godly life. By doing this, the parents and children can live a longer and prosperous life on earth and the blessing of the Lord can be passed down from one generation to another generation throughout the family.
God Children’s Purpose Over Satan’s Rule
Jesus Christ came to earth a little more than 2,000 years ago as a human being (John 1:1,14). By living His perfect life, filled without measure with the Holy Spirit. Jesus made it clear that with God’s help, human beings can live in obedience to God, and reject Satan’s way Galatians 2:20.
It is because of Jesus Christ that Satan’s rule on the earth will soon end. That is why the devil is only called the god of this age. An age is soon coming when Jesus Christ will replace Satan as the ruler of this world. We call that time the Millennium. Jesus Christ, who came to the earth as a human being and lived a perfect sinless life, will return as King and remove Satan from his rule.
Since the Millennium is not here yet, what can we do to escape the evil effects of Satan’s rule? Those who accept Jesus Christ’s sacrifice can, through the power of the Holy Spirit, come under God’s government now and receive the power to resist Satan’s influence in their lives. “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded” James 4:7–8. God is watching to see who is obeying Jesus Christ, and who has surrendered to evil. “For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Now, ‘If the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?’” 1 Peter 4:17–18.
When the Prince of Peace returns to set up His government over the nations, Satan’s rule will end. “Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out” into a lake of fire, John 12:31.
What is the millennial kingdom?
The term millennium comes from two Latin words: “mille,” Meaning “thousand,” and “annum,” meaning “years.” The term refers to Revelation 20 where John refers to Christ’s ruling on the earth for 1000 years six times. Revelation 20:4 says:
“And I saw thrones and seated on them were those who had been given authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. These had not worshiped the beast or his image and had refused to receive his mark on their forehead, or in their hands, and they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.”
As mentioned in earlier chapters, there are different views on this for a-millennialists, the millennial kingdom is happening now in the sense that Christ is ruling in heaven and in the hearts of believers on earth. At the end of this time period, Christ will return to usher in the eternal state. For postmillennialism, the millennial kingdom will happen sometime during this age. The world will get better and better until a golden age of righteousness occurs, which will be the millennium. At the end of that age, Christ will return to usher in the eternal stage Rev 21-22. However, for premillennialists who take a more literal understanding of prophetic prophecies about the millennium, the millennium is the intermediate kingdom between the present age and the eternal age. At the end of this present age, Christ will return to usher in the millennium. Some believe the millennium, will be a literal 1,000-year period, while others believe 1000 years is figurative for a long time, Psalm 50:10. At the beginning of the millennium, Satan will be bound so he can no longer tempt the nations, Rev 20:1-3. Christ will rule with the believers over the entire world from Jerusalem Rev 20:1-6, Zech. 14:17-19. This understanding of the millennium is developed by considering the future prophetic passages which neither fit in the present age nor in the eternal age of Zech. 14-7-19, Israel 11:4, 65:20, Rev 20:1-10, etc. We will look at some of these below, as we consider names for the kingdom, inhabitants of the kingdom, and characteristics of the kingdom.
